MINISTRY: HOSPITAL

The Lord our God has given DLCC a vision of reaching out to the sick with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, the Divine Healer. And ever since we walked in that vision, our gracious Lord has poured His grace and power upon our weekly ministry in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Many patients who gave us permission to pray for them were of other faiths.

The favour of our Lord is upon this ministry as He opened the door for us to work closely with Health-Care Christian Fellowship. Christian doctors, nurses and medical staff are involved in this Fellowship. Through HCF, a combined outreach was held during this year’s Lunar New Year and Easter. DLCC Hospital Ministry contributed mandarin oranges and gospel tracts for the special outreach with a total participation of seven churches.

Many miracles have taken place during our visits to the wards every Saturday afternoon. The Lord’s miraculous touch of healing and restoration continue to take place whenever we lay hands and pray for the sick. Several patients were healed by the Lord Jesus and being discharged, even before they had received any medical treatment. From the first half of this year, our team members prayed and ministered to more than 266 patients. At least 37 patients prayed to receive Jesus into their lives. Tracts and Bibles were distributed to these patients. Personal invitations were given to them for our Sunday Worship Service. Our DLCC Prayer Power Line was highlighted to them, encouraging them to call us whenever they need prayers.
